My family and I have been eating at Calimex since I was a baby. We've celebrated life, graduations, weddings, and have had our most delicious memories here. This restaurant is family owned and they make you feel so welcome!

They have the freshest, savory, and BEST menudo hands down! It's so good I'd eat it every day if I could. We love their huevos rancheros, enchiladas, chile rellenos, salsa (soooooo good), and their brunch specials!

There are so many meals to choose from you can't go wrong. They have a great mix of sodas, aguas frescas, beer, margaritas and other beverages. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner -  Calimex is my family's favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire Beach Cities/South Bay.

Thank you to Calimex for being so amazing! Love the new interior and your service is always so attentive! If you haven't had a meal here yet you don't know what you're missing!

Tip: Theres parking in the back and on the street. We park in back because Artesia gets busy.

We were planning on going to Louis's but they were closed for the Jewish holiday so we decided to walk down the street around Snax. We have been to Snax several times, but before we walked in we decided to try something new and are so happy we did!

First of all, the ambiance is super cute. There was Mexican music, the walls were all white with the chairs painted in various colors and the artwork and lighting fixtures were funky.

We had no idea what to order so we asked the owner who was walking around, Salvatore, what items were standouts on the menu and he talked to us for awhile about his plans for the place as he is the new owner.

He did not steer us wrong! BF got the huevos rancheros with pork verde and it melted in your mouth... delish!!! I got the veggie omelette with potatoes on the side and that was super tasty too. It was topped with cheese. Potatoes could have been a bit crispier but I also love a well done crispy tater.

All in all, a truly great experience. We will be back for these as well to try other items!

Have been here for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was the better choice. We found the food at dinner to be average (although the chips and salsa are really good). Good micheladas, though. Lots of free street parking and parking in the lot in the back. Nice decor and atmosphere. Service was good. There are just better places for Mexican food in the vicinity so no real reason for us to go back.

We decided on this place after my fiance's dad asked if it was okay to eat Mexican food for brunch - why yes of course!

I got the Huevos Con Machaca, which has shredded beef onions, peppers, and eggs with rice and beans. We also got complementary chips and salsa. There are two kinds of salsa, mild and hot. We got both, but the hot was a little too spicy for me.

The Machaca was really flavorful and filling! The onions gave it a nice sweetness and crunch to the dish, which I enjoyed. It was also good with some salsa mixed in. I also dipped into my dish with some chips :). The portions are pretty big, but I still managed to eat everything off my plate, haha.

Our waiter was great! He was very personable and checked up on us from time to time to see if we needed anything.

There's street parking if you can find any, but I think they have a lot in the back of their establishment.

I love the food and the service was excellent! Homemade original mexican food! I've just moved to Redondo Beach and this is my new lunch spot!
